Gardella Furniture

The owner, Gary, and his staff Bridgette, Diane and Peter are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We moved into a new home last year and found this gem of a furniture store. Gary took the time to view both our new home, and the home we were selling to give us guidance on how to incorporate existing furniture into our vision of a more modern scheme. He gave his honest opinion (with humor) even when we didn't necessarily agree. He assisted with style, furniture selection and design. Thank goodness we took his advice! He saved us from making not only some very costly errors, but mistakes in design. When the store had to close, due to the Pandemic, Bridgette went above and beyond. She stayed up to the wee hours searching for fabric, rugs and bedroom furniture. The store is very much like an art gallery, and the staff are honest, experienced, helpful and patient. I absolutely loved my purchases from Gardella's. My shopping experience was even more enjoyable. They were very helpful, available when I needed them and NOT underfoot/pressured. I walked and browsed each floor at my leisure. The furniture selection is high end and unique. I can imagine a lot of Interior decorators find fabulous pieces here for clients or to stage homes. If you're in the market for furniture that does not look like what EVERYONE has, this is definitely worth the visit. I bought a guest bedroom set, entertainment center buffet and several separate accessory pieces (marble pedestal, entry way table, ottoman seats). I would buy from Gardella's again!!!!

Bought a pair of end tables from them. When I couldn't find exactly what I wanted in their showroom - which is fantastic, by the way - Gary Gardella was super friendly and had lots of suggestions to fit my budget and my taste. Even though I was shopping at the low end of their price range, I was treated with patience and respect. My tables arrived very promptly, and they assembled and wrapped them up for me, so I could bring them home in my truck. They weren't cheap, but I price-shopped my exact same tables online and the price I paid at Gardella's was at least 35% less. I feel like I got a fair deal and I'll go back the next time I need furniture. Highly recommended!

Great place to find unique furniture!

Once you visit their showroom you realize that the team at Gardella, The owner, Gary, and his staff Bridgette, Diane etc are extremely knowledgeable about quality furniture. The store is very much like an art gallery. They have been serving the City of Detroit and the surrounding areas for Decades and are still doing a great job of caring for their customers. My Brothers home looks great and the cabinetsI ordered are right on time. It’s been a great experience!

Loved the showroom. Easy to maintain social distance while inside just because of the sheer size. Amazing staff all around always offering to help you find what you're looking for.

I don't know why anyone would shop elsewhere. They have the best quality furnature around and are very competitive with the big named stores. Excellent customer service as well!

Right before the pandemic I purchased furniture from this store based on reviews. I always travel back to Alabama for the winter months. Unfortunately, I got stuck in Alabama for a year and a half because of the Virus. Once I arrived back to Detroit I began noticing damage to my dinner table and sofa. When the furniture was delivered, I immediately left for Alabama. There is a split in the top of the table. Behind the middle pillow on the sofa, the zipper is broken therefore the cushion is hanging out. Before you spend your hard earned money here , make sure you do a thorough inspection. There’s no way that they didn’t know about the torn zipper and cushion hanging out in back of sofa. And the split keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Very nice furniture, a bit pricey but all and all a nice place.
